    HANDCARVED AUSTRIAN POLYCHROMED STATUE JESUS CHRIST CRUCIFIXION on the CROSS
    This is a beautiful vintage handcarved statue from Austria.
    It is a 19th Century piece with a polychrome finish widely done at that time.
    It is nicely carved and painted with much detail.
    There are nails in His feet and hands realistically depicting the event.
    As is typical of pieces from this vintage some of the painting is experiencing a little flaking, but overall it is a beautiful and very large piece.
    The best of religious art.
    We purchased this piece in Austria in 1978 and have owned and enjoyed it in our private collection since then.
    It us very large measuring 56-1/2" tall X  29" wide.
    The figure of Jesus is 33" tall
    We are listing this piece as local pickup only, however, we would be willing to take it to a shipper that can do packaging and shipping for a fee if you arrange that with a shipper of your choice that is willing to package something of this value.
