George J. Gould wholesaled cheap guitars for Sears Roebuck from Detroit Michigan USA during 1960-1980 and designed high quality acoustic guitars handmade by Kizan Brothers in Israel. This beautiful dreadnought-size acoustic guitar from 1963 is a high quality model T600 that features
a solid spruce top with mahogany sides and back. The previous owner had removed the pick guard,
replaced strings, added a passive Fishman acoustic pickup in the soundhole with an endpin jack for amplification, a strap button on the neck, and included a hardshell Tolex-over-wood black Gator case (one latch was replaced) with plush lining.
Our volunteer guitar technical expert indicates this rare guitar exhibits a sweet and warm shimmering sound with the volume expected from a well-aged dreadnought 12-string guitar. The pickup was tested and working perfectly.
