HANSA® Chimney Sweeping Log helps to prevent chimney fires and increase efficiency. Its unique formula is suited for all kinds of open fires, chimneys, stoves for burning wood and charcoal. Burning wood, wood logs or coal creates a highly flammable deposit (creosote) on the flues. This creates several problems:
Less efficiency because of the blocked and dirty flue, with a chimney that doesn’t work like it should.
When not regularly removed, there is a great risk of a chimney fire due to the build-up of the highly flammable creosote.
HANSA® Chimney Sweeping Log is a two in one product. The log consists of wood shaving and wax. It features extremely clean and bright flame and burns up to 2.5 hours. It also contains soot remover – a special mix of crystals that fight soot build up inside heating appliances and chimneys. Some of its components catalytically affect the process of burning of firewood – decompose the tars present in wood into combustible gas. Other components at high temperatures release gases that react with tar deposits and destroy their structure. This weakens the bonding to chimney surface and the deposits fall down or are carried out with the chimney gasses.
HOW IT WORKS

3. The active gases dry out the creosote/tar deposits, this weakens the bonding to chimney surface.

PURPOSE
To remove soot and tar from chimneys (brick and metal) and appliances burning wood and coal (open and closed type fireplaces, stoves).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Take the HANSA® CHIMNEY SWEEPING LOG out of the box, but do not unwrap from the paper packaging. Place it inside the combustion chamber of the heating appliance. Light both sides of the paper wrapper and let it burn.
2. While burning, the active material is being released and in combination with the high temperature, the cleaning elements stick to the inner side of the chimney. This removes the tar and creosote from the walls.
3. The following days, there will be parts that will be removed and neutralized.
4. Use on average every 30 days.
