This works best hanging outside the crib so the baby can sit on the floor and play with it. The hive is so soft and ribbed and the baby really likes it. Most babies 6 months or older will be able to pull the bee out of the hive to make the music play but it will take some discovery and coordination before they can pull it down by themselves. I would buy this again and a great gift item too!

Adorable. Plays "twinkle twinkle little star". The hive is pretty large (really surprised me), I'd say about 6 inches in diameter. The bee goes up and inside the hive as the music is playing. Cute
