Description
The Promax KeyQuick AF-011 Mechanical Splicer joint, achieves splicing values that are very close to the values of a good fusion splice and does it in a fast and effective way. No special tools or skills are needed to use the AF-011 mechanical splicer, just use your hands to align the fibers after cleaning them and block them, achieving a permanent link. The transparent body of the mechanical splicer makes visually spotting connection errors simple, ensuring a solid connection with the need for measuring devices. The device accepts fibers with buffers of 250 or 900 um, and after fiber stripping and cleaning, aligns them easily inside.
The AF011 can function as a permanent connection between 2 optical fibers for an indefinite period of time, without attenuation, and can last up to 25 years. The AF-011 is ideal for aerial, underground, mural, building, and internal or external network splicing and can be used either on single-mode or multi-mode fibers with 125 micron diameter coatings. The AF-011 is compatible with most splice trays.
The AF-011 utilizes KeyFibre's KeyQuick splicing technology is a perpendicular cutting technique with a Grade 1 > 60dB specification reflectance performance.
