RITE BOBBINS SUPER SMOOTH AND ADJUSTABLESHORTY BOBBIN
Smaller flies sometimes require smaller bobbins, so we developed our Shorty to provide the same level of precision tension, along with a smaller sized barrel. This is the perfect tool for those little blue wing olives, midges, small parachutes, or any other pattern where a full-sized bobbin starts to impedge your ability to see and/or tie.
The Shorty also boasts the top-quality ceramic tube, to ensure smooth performance, and a removable vinyl grip.
FEATURES:
Approximately 3/4" shorter than the "Rite" Standard
Great for tiny flies or smaller hands, but many tiers with large hands swear by this bobbin.
Zirconia Ceramic Thread Tube
Small Diameter Barrel
Removable Vinyl Grip
Solid Brass Arm
"Click" Drag Adjustment
1-9 ounces of thread tension
Works great with spooled wire
STANDARD BOBBIN:
Our Standard bobbin is probably the most popular of all the models we sell. More than likely, that's because it's the model that works for just about any fly pattern you may want to tie.
From small midges up through bigger saltwater flies, the Standard does it all. With a premium-quality ceramic tube, it's also going to be very durable. And of course, it wouldn't be a Rite Bobbin without the one-of-a-kind brass tension adjuster, allowing you to have more control as you tie. This is a must have for any serious tier.
FEATURES:
Our ultra-versatile and most popular fly tying bobbin
Ceramic Thread Tube
Small Diameter Barrel
Removable Vinyl Grip
Solid Brass Arm
"Click" Drag Adjustment

HALF HITCH BOBIN
The Half Hitch offers all the great features of our other Rite Bobbins, with the additional convenience of being able to whip finish flies using the specially-tapered barrel. Turn out more flies more efficiently, or whip finish as you tie to ensure that more complex flies are less likely to come unraveled as you tie.
The Half Hitch also boasts a comfortable grip made of rubber o-rings, which doubles as a temporary thread keeper. This is a great all-around bobbin, fast becoming the go-to bobbin for many tiers.
FEATURES:
Unique tapered barrel and O-ring grip
Revolutionary bobbin design allows you to half hitch and whip finish right on the bobbin barrel
Top quality surgial stainless steel thread tube
Unique O-ring and thread keeper grip
Perfect for a broad range of hook sizes and tying styles
Features our legendary 'click' tension adjuster
CERMAG BOBBIN
If you are tying larger flies, or especially those that have longer shanks like streamers and saltwater flies, the CerMag offers you the additional length you need. And often times, these flies require heavier, tougher thread--which is why we have built this bobbin with a high-quality ceramic tube, to help you avoid cutting thread due to extreme wear and tear.
The durability and length of the CerMag will keep you cranking out those hefty patterns all year long.
FEATURES:
Stainless steel with zirconia ceramic insert
Surgical quality stainless steel.
Very high pressure click drag system
Heavy duty thread tension, 2-16 ounces thread tension
Perfect for longer hooks such as streamers
Excellent for spinning deer hair
MAGNUM BOBBIN
Deceivers, clousers, surf candy, some of those old classic New England streamers -- these are all patterns that sometimes call for longer shanked hooks and lots of leverage while using high strength threads like Big Fly and GSP. For that reason, we developed the Mag bobbin, giving you that extended reach that can be critical to the success of some of these beefier patterns.
We've also heard that some rod builders use this bobbin, and that it accommodates some of the most popular rod-building threads like Gudebrod and Dynacord.
FEATURES:
Heavy duty! Designed for big fly tying applications.
Extra long, 5" fly tying bobbin for leverage and big hooks
Large diameter thread tube, accommodates threads as large as medium chenille
Becoming popular as a rod-winding tool. Accommodates Gudebrod rod thread and Dynacord.
Heavy duty click drag system, 2-16 ounces of thread tension
