    Early 1970s solid top model 35 Tokai Cedar, made in Japan, stunning wood, details, great hard shell case.
    Cedar has a woody warmth you just can't get with Spruce and those who have experienced it know that, while you can brighten up a Cedar topper (with brighter (Bronze) strings), you can't impart that particular roundness and body to Spruce.  Still, overtones are surprisingly symmetrical and the guitar has terrific balance throughout the spectrum, as well as good volume and sustain.
