Awesome, original, and vintage Epiphone "Blackstone" archtop acoustic guitar from the 1940's!  I’m not an expert on musical instruments, but I picked up this guitar from a local estate sale and took it straight to a local guitar shop to have it examined.  I was total a restoration would cost around 0, but he advised me to sell it as is to let the buyer choose the path this beauty takes.  He noted it would need some fret work, as well as a new pickguard and piping around the edges obviously and some other minor things.  I asked if the 2" scratch/crack in the center of the back was an issue and he said, no it's nothing to worry about.  From the little information I could find online I believe this to have been made in New York in the early to mid 1940's before Gibson bought Epiphone in the "Sunburst" color pattern. Please ask if you have any questions and I’ll do my best to answer them.
