Vintage 1950's Hofner Model 487 Concert Guitar. Made to have steel strings or nylon. Overall finish condition is very good. Nice playable condition. Set up now with .010 gage strings. Great sound. The action is .090 at the 12fth fret. It has jumbo frets. Top has cracks that have been stabilized with glue. No cleats. The bridge was re attached at some point and 3 screws were added. It is stable. Also has an original adjustable saddle made of Ebony. You can use nylon strings as well. You would just need to open up the E and B slots on the nut. If you go to George Strobel guitar collection in Germany he has one set up with nylon. Top is solid spruce. Back and sides are laminated birds eye maple. Hand typed tag inside reads Hofner West Germany. I think it is an earlier one because it's not the commercial label. Also it was sold buy Sistek music company Cleveland Ohio. Please ask questions about it if interested. Thanks for looking.
