    Description

This buy-it-now is for a freshly repaired Epiphone Blue Label Acoustic Guitar.
The model is 6832. It features a short scale neck and is pretty much a copy of a Martin 000-28.
The top is laminated spruce and the back and sides are laminated Rosewood with a Rosewood neck and solid Rosewood Bridge so USA sales only. It features a zero fret nut, an adjustable saddle and although it has quite a bit of fretwear, the frets are still useable and it has hardly any buzz. A good setup would probably make it sound even better.
I bought this guitar because it's the same exact model I learned to play on back in 1971, but I have too many guitars already. It was a fun restore, but I decided to thin my herd a bit.
The bridge had come unglued as well as the top around the neck block. The neck block was the easy repair.
I glued in .75 x 2.0 Maple blocks on each side to secure the top so it would never loosen again. This is a common issue with these bolt on neck Guitars. Every single one will do it and need repair.
The bridge re-glue was a bit trickier as the bottom of the bridge needed to be matched to the slightly bellied contour of the top. The finish also cracked at the edges of the bridge. That is cosmetic only though. After the bridge was properly reglued, I had a custom brass Plate made for the string barrels as the original bridge plate was pretty worn. The bridge is now solid and will last forever.
I also shimmed the neck to get the correct angle to match the slightly bellied top. Now the guitar has proper neck angle and action. The action is very good and the guitar is very playable with a very mellow and sweet tone. I strung it with 12-53 Elixir Phosphor Bronze strings.
I removed, lubricated and tightened the original tuners. The work like they were new. Which for these tuners, is not very good. They hold tune fine, but are pretty chincie. They are probably the weakest link on this guitar, but they could always be upgraded as could the adjustable saddle which works fine by the way.
There are no other issues with this guitar. It plays nice and has a surprisingly nice tone.
I am not a guitar dealer so no returns will be accepted. The guitar will ship in a semi-hard cardboard case and padded inside a cardboard shipping box. It will be insured and an adult signature will be required.
