Vintage Nicaraguan hand-carved maracas, 1969

Description

These six vintage maracas were purchased in Managua, Nicaragua, in 1969. They are in generally good condition. A couple of the handles are a bit loose, and one of the black maracas has a crack several inches long (see the black maraca in photo #5). Images of rabbits, birds, butterflies, ladies, etc., are hand carved and painted. These are very attractive!
