Vtg Lepidoptera Bookends Taxidermy Monarch Butterfly Preserved. Condition is Used.
Specimens are in a gel medium covered by a glass globe standing about 3.5” on wooden base. Some shrinkage of gel may have occurred and there is some moisture on inside of globe. Gel jiggles. Still interesting and presentable. Wooden base measures 4”x4”. Bookends stand about 5” from bottom to top of globe. They weigh over 1 lb each!
Butterflies look like monarchs to me but I’m no lepidopterology expert! They also seem faded of their original colors.
I haven’t found another set on the www! So maybe you are getting a great deal on these babies!
