    Vintage Madonna & Child Wall Hanging Creamy White Plaster Chalkware 7-1/2 X 4-1/2"   ***    This is a beautifully detailed Madonna and Child Wall Hanging; just look at those peaceful expressions, and notice the child's eyelashes! It is made of Chalkware / Plaster of Paris. This piece came from an estate sale at a home that had been in the family over 100 years, and this wall hanging has some age to it, as evidenced by the wire hanger on the back.  No makers mark.  See the photos of the Madonna's head covering; it appears someone etched some flowers in the veil.  In very good vintage condition, though there
    are several pockets where air bubbles likely formed when the plaster was poured into the mold — for instance, see the tiny hole in
    the
    side of the
    Madonna's right nostril (
    it is
    only noticeable on close inspection)
